Wineglass Bay Tour
Wineglass Bay hides away in the Freycinet National Park on Tasmania’s East Coast and is accessed via one of Australia’s greatest road trips, the Great Eastern Drive. Freycinet National Park is the first and oldest National Park in Tasmania (1916) and is home to dramatic pink granite mountains, secluded bays, crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches and abundant native animals.
Our Wineglass Bay tours departs from Hobart, heading east then following the Great Eastern Drive north. We’ll travel through the seaside towns of Orford, Triabunna and Swansea as we make our way along the East Coast of Tasmania towards the Freycinet National Park. We’ll stop briefly along the way to take in some of the local highlights such as Raspins Beach and The Bark Mill (Swansea).
How the rest of your day unfolds depends on which of our exciting day tours you choose. If you want to explore Freycinet National Park by foot, hike up to the Wineglass Bay Lookout for the most iconic photo of Tasmania’s jewel, and be guided throughout the day by a truly local Tasmanian guide, you will want to choose the Wineglass Bay & Freycinet Walking Tour. If you would prefer to walk less and spend more time exploring or relaxing on the beach and fancy a thrilling boat ride across Great Oyster Bay while admiring the local birds, seals and dolphins you will love our Sea & Explore Wineglass Bay Tour.
Either way, after a full day of fun and exploration in the Freycinet National Park we all reunite and jump aboard the bus again to make our way back to Hobart. The drive home is usually spent sharing our experiences and tales with each other and celebrating our amazing day out. We’ll get you back at your accommodation around 6:30-7:00pm.
