Avoid the crowds

The best of both worlds!

Access Wineglass Bay by boat and then explore Freycinet National Park on foot; This entertaining and informative tour from Hobart to Wineglass Bay offers maximum beach time (2+ hrs) and saves you hiking up hills.

Our Wineglass Bay tour departs from Hobart, heading east then following the Great Eastern Drive north. We’ll travel through the seaside towns of Orford, Triabunna and Swansea as we make our way along the East Coast of Tasmania towards the Freycinet National Park. We’ll stop briefly along the way to take in some of the local highlights such as Raspins Beach (Orford), and The Bark Mill (Swansea).
When we arrive at Coles Bay, you will board the Freycinet Adventures Aqua Taxi and enjoy an awe-inspiring cruise from Coles Bay to Hazards Beach. On the way, you’ll be amazed by the spectacular red granite shoreline and the incredible wildlife that call it their home. A large variety of sea birds reside in the area including White bellied sea eagles, the icon of Freycinet National Park. Be sure to have your cameras ready as you are also likely to share the sea with Australian Fur Seals, inquisitive local dolphins and maybe even a whale or two!
The skipper of the Aqua Taxi will assist you to disembark directly onto the pristine white sands of Hazards Beach, which might require you to get your feet wet, but once you see the the crystal clear blue waters of the beach, you won’t have any hesitation in wanting to get your feet into it! You’ll then be free for the next 2.5hrs to explore Hazards Beach, Wineglass Bay (30 min walk) and Freycinet National Park. At 2:30pm you will meet the Aqua Taxi on Hazards Beach and enjoy another incredible bvoat ride back to Coles Bay.
You will have approximately 30mins to explore the town of Coles Bay, grab yourself a snack or refreshment from the amazing local cafes and stores. We recommend the Tasmanian made ice-creams from the Coles Bay Ice-Creamery! Your tour guide will meet you in Coles Bay again to make our way back to Hobart. The drive home is usually spent sharing our experiences and tales with each other and celebrating our amazing day out. We’ll get you back at your accommodation around 6:30-7:00pm.

5 star ratingOur guide Geno was excellent !! He grew up on Tasmania and definitely loves his job and Tasmania. One of the best tours I've been on !! Very informative about the different animals and history of Tasmania.
Great for all ages, they give you options if you can't do the walks but try because the view are breathtaking.

5 star ratingMy partner and I booked to go to Wine Glass Bay through Wine Glass Bay tours. Fantastic company! We were picked up on time right outside our hotel in a minibus. Only 5 people on our tour which was nice. Jack our tour guide was very knoweldgeable. Knew alot about Tasmanian history which was interesting to hear (and I won the quiz at the end!).

Wine Glass Bay is a beautiful spot. My partner and I headed down to the beach- 1000 steps there (the same on the way back)!!! Phew! Very strenuous but worth it for the views. Wouldnt like to do it with children or anyone who isnt of a decent fitness level.

A few tips for the tour- take water and snacks with you. There are a few cafes where the bus stops on the way to Wine Glass Bay to purchase some lunch, or just take your own. Thoroughly enjoyed our day out with Wine Glass Bay tours. Thank you Jack. More
